Monet Gardens

Whenever I travel I make it a point to research as much as possible before I leave. I look up the usual like directions, do’s and dont’s of the place, where to eat, I’d even go as far as budgeting for my meals (and I don’t see anything wrong with that). This means, I try to do everything online and in advance, from reservations to payments.

In 2014 I went to Paris, I can’t remember if I knew the Monet gardens are in France or I only found out after my research. Nevertheless, I knew about Monet (the painter) from Clueless.

Tai: Do you think she’s pretty?
Cher: No, she’s a full on Monet.
Tai: What’s a Monet?
Cher: It’s like a painting, see? From far away, it’s OK, but up close, it’s a big old mess.

The Monet Gardens are in Giverny (zee-vair-NEE), you get to Giverny from Vernon, and to get to Vernon you take a train from Paris (Saint-Lazare station).
