Photo Journal: Rome

Before visiting Rome I highly suggest watching Roman Holiday, I did and it made me feel nostalgic as I was walking along the historic steps of Rome. It’s also a good blueprint if you do your own walking tour.

The free walking tour I went on started at the Spanish Steps. Though free, it’s customary to give tips, I gave €10 and the kind guide offered to buy me gelato. Too bad I already paid for mine.

The Pantheon. Cafes surround the Pantheon usually there’s a performance too stay for a bit to watch and/or try an espresso at Tazza D’Oro if you have the time.

Sant’Ignazio di Loyola Church. There’s a Filipino saying that every time you visit a church for the first time, you get to make a wish and it’ll come true. Not sure how true it is but it can’t hurt to try.08232015_7

A view of the Roman Forum. Quite tiring to see the entire place, good thing there are water fountains around the area just be sure to bring a water bottle with you for convenience.08232015_2

Aside from Rick Steves’ app, I highly depended on City Maps and Walks not only for navigation but also for itinerary. It even has an itinerary based on Audrey Hepburn’s film, Roman Holiday!File 23-01-2016
