Why Osaka?
It was on sale and I wanted to treat my mom.
How did you get here?
Via PAL, I purchased the tickets from Orbitz.
How much did that cost you?
For the both of us I paid for $493.60
Where did you stay?
I’m sure I’m not the first one to say this but Japan is hella expensive! I found the cheapest room I could find in booking.com and we stayed at Umeda OS Hotel. Yes, the room was small but it had the necessary amenities and it was clean.
How many nights did you stay?
We stayed for 4 nights and we went there if February. Rookie mistake: I didn’t check the weather when I booked the tickets so we had to endure the cold weather of Osaka.
How much was your accommodation?
For 4 nights I paid for ¥60,100 which is about Php26k, divided by 4 is Php6,500 and divided by 2 lands at Php3,250 per person. Not cheap but not that pricey either.
What did you eat?
Breakfast was included (and there were a lot of choices), lunch and dinner were spent around Osaka. Not to be missed was eating at that crab place in Dotonbori and having fresh sushi in Namba.
What did you do here?
Weather wasn’t that great, it was cold and windy but my mom and I made do. She especially liked walking around the indoor gardens which were included in the Osaka pass.
What’s the one thing you recommend/most memorable moment in this place?
Eating at Namba walk. I’ve never seen anything like it, above the streets you have shivering weather but underneath are passageways interconnected with bustling restaurants and shops to keep you busy and entertained.
