I’ll be honest, I usually plan way in advance as in 1 year in advance if not more than that. So for my past travels, whether by myself or with someone, it’s been my habit to map out my itinerary for the entire trip. Here’s what I used when I filed for my visa and my actual itinerary during my trip:
Mind you this is just a sheet out of my itinerary file LOL, in my other sheets I had a breakdown of expenses, list of tours, and what clothes to wear.
Because I was in Italy the longest I had to get my Schengen visa from the Italian Embassy which meant availing the services of VIA.PH and I must say it was pretty smooth sailing. I was set to depart Manila on 20-Aug-2015 and I submitted my application on 26-May-2015, about 3 months in between. By 16-Jun-2015 I hadn’t heard from the embassy yet and so I followed up via email to which I received a response that it’s still being processed and that next time I should call their hotline numbers. I got my passport back 18-Jun-2015, 23 days after I submitted my application. I had a friend who also filed for the same visa but because it was her first time to go to Europe she was asked to show up at the embassy upon her return whereas I didn’t have to.
