If you live in a country like the Philippines and then travel to a place like Paris you’ll come to realise how far behind we are in terms of transportation advancements. For a first-timer and solo tripper it can get overwhelming, I should know, I was that person. Hopefully this might be useful to someone else.
From the airport you can take a taxi (expensive) or a bus shuttle (budget) called Roissybus and you can purchase the ticket at the airport. The ticket costs €11 one way and will directly drop you off in the 8th district of Paris near the Opera, from there you can take the subway if you need to be in a different district, or the bus.
The bus, just like the subway, goes to two directions you just need to know which stop you need to make and you ride in that direction. To give an example, this is how a typical subway sign looks like:

It means you’re on line 12, Concorde station, and you can either go in the direction of Aubervilliers or Mairie d’Issy. In case you get on the wrong cart, as long as you don’t exit (sortie) the metro, you can go to the other side and ride the opposite direction. To help you navigate the subway system, I suggest trying out Paris Metro Map by mxData. It’s very easy to use, all you need to do is figure out which station you need to get to and where you’re coming from (which station is closest to you) and it’ll tell you which line to take. What’s best is it works even without wi-fi!

Happy tripping! xoxo.
