Cambodia – Siem Reap

Why Siem Reap?
Need to travel + Asian country + low to mid level budget + place I’ve never been to = Cambodia

How did you get here?
Plane ride

How much did that cost you?
Php8085 via Cebu Pacific

Where did you stay?
I stayed at De Sonyn Boutique

How many nights did you stay?
4 days, I arrived Thursday night (around 10pm Cambodia time) and left Sunday night so instead of just paying for 3 it ended up being 3.5 nights.

How much was your accommodation?
It was initially budgeted at Php4k but because of my SUPER late check-out I paid Php5k+

What did you eat?
I didn’t get to eat at a ton of places but there was this eatery that’s super close to the hotel, cheap eats, and good tasting  that I ended up going all the time called Lilypop Restaurant.

Lime + mint shake FTW (I had this every day, at one point 2x a day…absolute refresher) and chicken lok lak (though I must say the one I had at Angkor Wat tasted better.
angkor-beer
Achievement unlocked moment: I got to finish an entire can of beer! And I actually liked the taste! Well, the first part at least when it was really cold.

What did you do here?
What didn’t I do? I biked to the old market from the hotel, I went on an ATV tour of the countryside, I went on the small and big temple tours.

What’s the one thing you recommend/most memorable moment in this place?
Doing the ATV because of the sunset but also climbing one of the steepest steps ever.

Steepest steps ever! And I got to climb them! I pretty much rolled on my way down but who cares?
