Who: The usual weekend crew, Red and Roc 🙂

What: “Glamping” in Batangas, I use air quotes because it’s nowhere near glamorous LOL. It’s more like easy camping, you get there and your tent is ready, there’s food prepared, shower and toilets are regularly cleaned (no tissue though), massage (as part of the package), electricity and sockets available (electricity went out for a few minutes at night), and there’s someone available you can always ask for help.
The down side? There were sooooo many of us, there were campers who got REALLY loud and because we were right next to each other, we got bothered by their nose. The food was so-so, in fact when we returned our fish for lunch because it wasn’t fully cooked, they served it during dinner haha. And to top it off, there was an earthquake in the afternoon, I was scared there might be a tsunami while we slept.

All in all, I think if you go during off season (provided it’s not raining) you’d have a better experience. The package was worth Php2,600 plus Php1k for gas, booze, and chips (which can be cheaper if you brought them with you instead). On your way back to Manila, have lunch at Bag of Beans (always a fave), I was treated but should set you back Php500.
Where: Sta. Ana Calatagan in Batangas
