Destination: Rome (part 2)

I literally had a little over than 24 hours in Rome, Glo and I arrived early in the morning, went to the hostel before lunch, and then leave the next day at 9:50AM bound for Florence. We couldn’t check in early so we had to go out for a while, Glo went to the Vatican while I went to Spanish Steps and walked around for a bit.

At 1:00PM I went back to the hostel, unpacked, rested, and at night we went out for dinner at Sant Angelo, well, not exactly at the castle but if you go down the stairs and right by the river there’s a bunch of pop up restaurants. I had cacio e pepe and tiramisu and I don’t know if it’s just my taste buds but I find Italian pasta to be really salty.

Early the next day we walked to Roma Termini for our train ride to Florence.

They say you if you throw a coin you’ll come back to the Eternal City, do it twice and you’ll find love. The first time I went to Rome, the fountain was being renovated but I managed to go back…maybe even if I didn’t throw a second coin I’d still find love? LOL.
