Destination: Cinque Terre

Why Cinque Terre?
Just like the other places it’s something I’ve read, heard, and seen. Definitely the vibrant colours of the houses attracted me and the location/views weren’t bad either.

How did you get here?
By bus and then the train.

Cinque means 5, also the number of towns in this area and I might be mistaken but there might be more but only 5 are the most known. I went on a Cinque Terre trek and in one of the towns we had to hike to get to the other side. I was out of breath bes, it was hot, long and I’m glad I did it 🙂 The plus side to hiking is the best lemon slushie in town just as you’re about to descend.

How much did that cost you?
The tour was worth EUR90, it includes lunch, bus and train rides.

What did you eat?
The towns served a lot of fried seafood, we had take away calamari, dine-in calamari, and gelato.

What did you do here?
Aside from the trek, I scampered around because we had bus problems at the start which led to us getting to the towns late.

What’s the one thing you recommend/most memorable moment in this place?
The entire trek is an absolute must-do but be sure to prep before you do it, I didn’t take the time to practice before the trip and so I ended up spreading salonpas all over my lower body after the activity LOL.

I personally feel Batanes offered better views, better food, and better ambience, and it wasn’t crowded like Cinque Terre which meant no rushing involved. That being said, it IS still one of the most known attractions in the world so being there makes up for all the rushing, running, delay, siksikan, somehow.
