“We don’t remember the days, we remember the moments.”

Day 1 – We arrived 2am, stayed and slept at someone’s house and by 9am we set out for breakfast. Hawkers in Singapore are one of the highlights of the city IMHO. Also, this isn’t hawker area, I just wasn’t able to take a photo LOL.
Didn’t get to see much of Singapore, not that I’m complaining, but we did manage to go to a mall (and a few others) to eat and buy groceries. Also, had one of the best pork meals in quite some time at a Thai place in one of the malls (I can’t remember which one, it all happened so fast LOL).
Pork is life. Especially the melts in your mouth, falls off the bone type. (Photo not mine)
Day 2 – By the time we arrived it was well past dinner time so we ate at the closest restaurant we could find. It was an Indian place if I’m not mistaken and I mostly ate someone else’s food because it tasted better LOL. After eating we went back to our quaint hotel and slept for the night.
Day 3 – We set out for Cinnamon Resort for a day trip. For some reason the waters really do look THAT cerulean.
You know those water villas you see so often in pictures of Maldives? Yep, that’s what they are. We didn’t stay in one coz they are hella expensive but we wanted to, at least for one night just for the experience. Instead, we did something better 😀
Give me a hammock, a swing, and I’m good – something about the swaying motion I find soothing. I was on a hammock when I took this photo, read and slept for a bit before the sun got too hot and I had to move.
Taken at the back of the resort, they have a pool but no one bothered to swim in it (coz why would you when you have the sea).
We weren’t able to catch the sunset here but I figured it’s pretty awesome, the bar is named after it.
Marjo is everyone’s fake boyfriend LOL! (Photo not mine)

Yeah, we really didn’t do much. Thanks, Marjo for the pics! #HuaweiForLife
Smile! #HuaweiForLife
When we’re not busy eating, swimming, posing, we also drink beer (actually, they did, I don’t drink) LOL!
The best view I can get of the sunset LOL. #HuaweiForLife
Couldn’t ask for a better group. The 4 of them knew each other the longest, I’m only friends with Marjo (and recently Erlyn) but our personalities jelled really well. (L-R) Me, Marjo, Jacq, Chaz, Erlyn, Clarkie
Day 4 was meant to be our “alone but never lonely day” but we had extra cash from the day trip and went on another quick day trip to a sand bank. Funny story, you won’t see it in any of the pictures but there’s actually construction happening on this bank, with tractors and everything LOL. But water was warm, the sand was good enough (a bit rocky with the corals), and the company great so it’s a win nonetheless.
10 years ago no one has ever heard of drones used for picture taking, now it’s the norm and thank goodness for it coz otherwise shots like this won’t be possible ❤
Before setting out we had lunch in a local eatery (think carenderia), had nasi goreng and though I wasn’t able to take a picture of it the serving was good for 2-3 pax. Needless to say I didn’t finish it LOL. This was taken while we were waiting for our food.
Just another random photo taken while we were walking towards a group of women selling food.
And what better way to end the day than by eating street food? I want to say I remembered what they were called but my memory isn’t that good – I liked the one with the egg, filo pastry, sweet square the most.
Day 5 – The next morning we woke up bright and early for our cruise, we went to the roof top of our hotel to catch the sun rise.
Before heading out we had coffee at a corner outdoor cafe, this isn’t part of it LOL! I just liked how the fences looked.
Another random photo while we were having coffee, also not part of the cafe HAHA! But I like swings so there you go.
Ok, now this one if of the cafe – or at least I hope it is LOL. It’s where we stayed after getting our drinks. I liked how the shadows seem part of the scene and how the branches appear to be covering the tables and chairs from the morning glow of the sun.
Coffee is life. Also, coffee is worth USD2 in the streets of Hulhumale, Maldives.
And just like that we were on our boat cruise!
Buko for our welcome drink! ❤
While on our way friendly dolphins guided our way.
Some even swam next to our boat!
Just look at how the clouds kiss the sea. If you’re a flat-Earther you’d think you’d fall off the face of the planet after reaching the end.
This was right before we went to the sand bank. Honestly, the clouds look like that.
The boat at the back is ours, Sunset Coral, we were brought to this sand bank via dinghy and I wish we had clearer skies but I’m not complaining.
#twinning LOL! You know what they say “sun’s out, buns out” 😀
Nudie shots were taken on this spot right before I had my photo taken, unlike my hubadera friends this is all I can do HAHA!
The sand was way finer in this spot too and you can’t see it from my photo but waves from different sides meet at this point as if embracing each other after being away from some time.
Our best attempt in getting a float shot. We tried. LOL!
Let it be known that I may not be a great swimmer, or a good one even, but I can float the shit out of that sea. HAHA! #HowToBeExtra
Hi, cheeks! HAHAHA!
And just like that the day has ended ❤
Day 6 – Hands down one of the best sunrises I’ve seen and I’m not even a sunrise person.
This day was no different – we woke up, ate, swam, slept, repeat. Patabaing baboy as they say LOL!
One last boat/sunset glow shot. LOL!
Can anyone ever be tired of this view?
Our last dinner was pretty special, this is also the only decent photo we had. Sorry, Jaq!
Have I mentioned how good the food tasted? Not only were they amazing we never felt we didn’t have enough, we had too much leftovers IMO. Loooved iiitttt soooo muuuccchhh!!
Day 7 – we’re now on our way back to Hulhumalé and boy was that a rocky ride LOL. I’m usually ok when it comes to boat rides, I don’t get sea sick (luckily) but there was a moment while I was packing my things when I felt a bit woozy. It was also raining a bit hard this day so we pretty much wanted to stay in our cabins. So what do you do when you’re extra and there’s time to spare? Be like Marjo and put on a face mask.

Surprisingly they had a wide collection of books, summer reads mostly. I started to read 2 but didn’t get to finish them, obvs.
And just like that our boat has docked and we’re about to head back to our hotel. Also, I’ve wanted to take this photo the minute I saw the wheel (is that what’s it called?) 😀
This is actually an earlier photo of the cafe we spent most of our day in, our flight back to Singapore wasn’t until 9pm so we loitered for a while here and at the lobby of Lonuvelli. Awesome smoothies btw, had Power Granate twice!
Day 8 – we arrived in Singapore close to 5am, slept for a bit before we set out to eat. Sadly, I was too tired (lazy?) to take photos. These are the only decent ones I have and some were taken by other people while some were from the first day! What’s that they say? If you didn’t take too many photos it means you were busy enjoying yourself? Yeah, that sounds good.
While at the airport and on our flight…
Most of the time when you’re the one taking photos you don’t usually end up in front/in group shots, I don’t mind it TBH as long as I have a good one here and there. So I appreciate it when people take candid photos of me, #1 because I don’t really like posing for the cam (I find it awkward) and #2, it keeps me included on paper LOL.
Also from day 1 in Singapore, we met up with Chaz’ sister, Ate Jing, after lunch – she’s in the 2nd photo next to Erlyn. Would you believe she has a 20+ y/o son??
And on that note, I end with this-the world is not flat ❤
